Alpine Campers is the brainchild of Brian Johnston, a 20-year veteran of the camper industry

Brian began Johnnos Campers with a passion to help people get out and experience the adventures Australia has to offer.

After many twists and turns, his own adventure culminated in the creation of the all-Aussie-made Alpine camper – a range of hybrid caravans designed to elevate your off-road experience when you’re travelling.

Alpine Campers focus on developing campers that will survive any adventure you can throw at them. They are rugged as hell and manufactured to go completely off grid with high-capacity solar, water and waste.

how alpine campers came to be?

After returning home from a lap around Australia, Brian decided to build the ideal camper he could use to get off the grid, but still have the comforts of home. When he wasn’t using it, the camper was rented out to other travellers who wanted the same experience – a luxury off-road camper.

Years down the track, Brian moved on to importing, and then later manufacturing, hybrid campers – until launching the Aussie-made Alpine hybrid caravan.

Aussie Manufacturing

Alpine hybrid campers are proudly 100 per cent Australian made from the chassis up. We use Australian-made BHP steel and the chassis, body and cabinetry are put together in our workshop in Maryborough, Queensland. Added to that, we use composite panels made on the Sunshine Coast and suspension by Cruisemaster.

Manufacturing a high-quality product has always been a top priority for Brian and the Alpine team. We are proud of our Maryborough heritage, Aussie-made status and the skilled tradespeople we employ. We make the campers by hand and each component is rigorously tested so you can go anywhere, any time.
